RPTU - Chair of Entrepreneurship

The Chair of Entrepreneurship at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Dennis Steininger, is dedicated to advancing the understanding and practice of entrepreneurship in the context of digital transformation. The chair's research is characterized by a strong empirical approach, grounded in theory, and focuses on the intersection of entrepreneurship and digital innovation. The foundation is theory-guided empirical research examining digital entrepreneurship, innovation, entrepreneurial finance, and their management in economic and societal domains.

Embedded within the UniGR-CIRKLA initiative, the chair leads the Acitivity 1.2 “Executive Education” work package, crafting a programme to empower managerial competencies in the twin transformation of technology-driven entrepreneurship and circular sustainability. As part of the faculty’s management division, we maintain a close collaboration with the Chair of Sustainability Management, led by Prof. Dr. Katharina Spraul, fostering interdisciplinary synergies.

For the CIRKLA project, the Chair of Entrepreneurship brings its core strengths—digital entrepreneurship, empirical research, entrepreneurial finance, and digital strategy—into a circular economy framework. Through designing an education programme embedded in the Twin Transformation paradigm, and by fostering interdisciplinary training, stakeholder networks, and cross-regional innovation, the chair significantly contributes to shaping a digital-driven, circular-oriented entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Greater Region and beyond.
