Europe Day 2025 in Saarbrücken

On May 9th, the event “So fördert Europa das Saarland” took place in front of the Europagalerie in Saarbrücken. Visitors were able to discover, through numerous project booths and activities, the concrete impact of European funding in our region.

The UniGR-CIRKLA project was also present! A small team from the University of Applied Sciences Saarland (htw saar), Saarland University, and UniGR – University of the Greater Region (three of the nine project partners) explained to visitors how we can make use of regional resources from Saarland and the Greater Region to actively promote the transition to a circular economy.

Thanks to the support of the Interreg Greater Region program, we bring together expertise from science, industry, and society to develop cross-border knowledge for more sustainable management of metals and materials across all areas of the economy and daily life.
