UniGR-CIRKLA at "Tag der Regionen" in Trier
On 8–9 June, the UniGR-CIRKLA project took part in the joint stand of the UniGR – University of the Greater Region and the University of Trier at the “Tag der Regionen 2026” in Trier.
UniGR-CIRKLA presented its work in the field of circular economy, ranging from the green transition in the steel industry and sustainable construction to new business models and innovative approaches.
In exchange with the Interreg Greater Region projects LATI and DIALOG, it became clear how closely circular economy approaches are linked to spatial development and future ways of living and housing, and how strongly these initiatives complement and reinforce each other across the Greater Region.
Darius Lambrecht from the CIRKLA project team at Trier University shared insights into the project’s key themes and milestones.
The event, organised by the "Bundesministerium für Wohnen, Stadtentwicklung und Bauwesen", brought together stakeholders from across regions to exchange ideas, present practical examples, and explore new impulses for cross-border cooperation.
